Why take part ?

A rigorous selection process by reputable judges from different nationalities

CMB awards are highly sought-after by distributors and importers and globally recognized and valued by consumers.

In addition, the diversity and professionalism of the judging panel ensures the results are objective and the competition’s outstanding reputation is always upheld.

CMB adds tangible and practical marketing value to their awards, including an analysis and aroma wheel for each product tasted (regardless of medal status).

The promotion of award-winning products through CMB’s international media network.

Lastly, in challenging economic times, CMB requires producers to submit only three (3) bottles of wine and two (2) bottles of distilled spirits per entry.

Transparent and credible

All CMB competitions and selections are meticulously audited by the Service Public Fédéral belge de l’Economie (SPFE). This ensures producers and other stakeholders that all the competition’s rules and regulations have been strictly adhered to and that the results are fair and transparent.

Blind tasting

Samples are stored in the preparation hall out of the judges’ sight. Judges never see the bottles or alternative packaging. Anonymity is a fundamental principle of the competition.

An international promotional tool

An Aroma Wheel and a detailed description of all your wines entered, will be downloadable from this website at the end of the 2024 competition. This offers valuable marketing and sales information for every wine, as well as product information for the winemaker.
