Anchor Oenology partners with South Africa Selection by CMB

Announcing the Anchor Oenology Sauvignon Blanc Trophy
The South Africa Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is proud to announce a partnership with Anchor Oenology, as well as confirming its sponsorship of the 2025 South Africa Selection’s CMB Sauvignon Blanc Trophy. This trophy is awarded annually to the highest scoring Sauvignon Blanc in the competition.
Says Anchor Oenology director, Danie Malherbe, “by partnering with Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in South Africa, we are looking forward to working closer with our existing clients, as well as developing new business relationships with the estimated 950 winemakers and assistant winemakers in our South African wine industry. The CMB in South Africa is a fantastic platform for showcasing and promoting of our top South African wine and spirits”. Anchor Oenology are manufacturers and distributors of a complete portfolio of winemaking tools and solutions which include yeast, enzymes, nutrients, bacteria and fining agents to name but a few.
Focus on South African Sauvignon Blanc
In support of the partnership, Anchor Oenology will host various events later this year, including a media dinner and Sauvignon Blanc tasting in collaboration with the Sauvignon Blanc Association for the 2025 international judging panel, buyers and retailers.
Newly elected chairman of the South African Sauvignon Blanc Association, Elunda Basson, noted, “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase one of our most beloved South African varietals to a group of influential local and international industry players! We truly appreciate and acknowledge the valuable role of such networking events”.
The dedicated Anchor Oenology team services wine producing cellars in all South Africa’s major wine producing areas: Olifants River, Swartland, Tulbagh, Darling, Durbanville, Constantia, Cape Peninsula, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, Breedekloof, Worcester, Overberg, Elgin, Walker Bay, Cape Agulhas, Robertson, Klein Karoo and the Northern Cape.
The South Africa Selection by CMB takes place from 17 – 20 August this year in Somerset West. Entries open on 1 May with an Early Bird entry fee which is applicable for the whole month of May.
